Best Therapy Tools for Feeding and Speech

In some of our recent outpatient therapy with Cedar I have seen his occupational therapist using tools from a company called Ark Therapeutic. Ark Therapeutic offers a wide array of tools for speech and occupational therapy. I have been observing Cedar tolerating sensations around his mouth better from using suggestions given by our OT to stimulate the cheeks and insides of Cedar’s mouth before feeding. Many children with Down Syndrome have hypotonia and the low tone that is caused by the hypotonia is often the cause for feeding difficulties that many parents deal with. I’m here to tell you that I love and recommend these best therapy tools for feeding and speech.
