I am often asked what it’s like to have a child who has Down syndrome. That’s SUCH a loaded question. I often wonder if the person asking wants me to reply “Oh, it’s so difficult!” so they can nod their head with sympathy. What I actually say is, “Not that much different than having a typical child.” This is usually met with a look of disbelief. (read the rest)
